Brand History
The company was founded in 1925 by Albert Fezer and Gottlieb Stoll. Initially, however, it focused on the repair of woodworking machines and their conversion. The production of the first portable chain saw in the late 1920s turned out to be a real breakthrough. In 1933, Fezer and Stoll were renamed Festo. At that time, the first, very simple company logo was created. In 1975, the company stopped focusing on stationary machines and focused solely on power tools. The current name Festool was established only in 2000. Since 2017, the company has been present in 26 countries, including in the USA, Great Britain, Russia, Canada, France and the Netherlands. It also has one branch in Asia, and more specifically in South Korea. Festool produces its products primarily in Germany and the Czech Republic. Since 2017, one production line is also located in the United States.
