Gardena, a few words about the history of the brand

In 1961, on the initiative of two businessmen, Werner Kress and Eberhard Kastner, a small company was founded, whose initial activity was to sell French gardening tools. The breakthrough came in 1968, when the company first launched the Original Gardena System on the market. Since then, its development has gained momentum, because from a small German company Gardena has become a world-renowned producer of a comprehensive range, designed for comprehensive garden care.

Gardena manufactures, among others, intelligent irrigation systems, pumps and innovative solutions for the care of lawns, trees or shrubs. Particularly noteworthy are the mowing robots, thanks to which garden lovers can spend their valuable time on rest. It is worth mentioning that since 2007 the German company is part of the Swedish Husqvarna group.

Batteries are one of the products manufactured by Gardena. In 1990, the company introduced a system that allows many tools to be operated with a single battery. Gardena lithium-ion, efficient, reliable and replaceable batteries are used in devices designed for various gardening works.
