When should you decide to recondition your Erbauer batteries?

The decrease in the durability of the battery and the shortening of the working time of the device powered by it is a natural process related to its use. When we notice that the performance of the battery in our drill or lawn mower has significantly decreased, it is worth deciding to regenerate. This solution is not only cheaper than buying a new battery, but also more environmentally friendly. As part of this process, we do not replace the entire battery, but only its components. Thus, we eliminate the amount of waste.

What is the reconditioning of power tool batteries?

Regeneration of power tool batteries, including Erbauer batteries, consists of replacing all cells and checking the electronics. During replacement, we use cells from well-known and proven producers.

We regenerate li-ion batteries (which are distinguished by high capacity and lack of the so-called memory effect) and NiCd and NiMh batteries. These two types can be used interchangeably, but it is worth knowing that NiCd batteries contain cadmium that is harmful to the environment. Consequently, at the moment they have basically already been replaced by batteries containing NiMh (Nickel Metal Hydride) cells. They are characterized by a higher energy density, as well as a lack of memory effect (they can be recharged at any time without losing their capacity). Many people are afraid that after regenerating the battery and replacing NiCd cells with NiMh cells, they may have problems with the charger. However, it is worth knowing that NiCd and NiMh batteries can be charged with the same charger, because these cells have an almost identical charging curve.
