What is battery regeneration?

Contrary to appearances, wear of power tool components is not synonymous with the need to replace the equipment. Equipment regeneration services are very popular nowadays. They also apply to devices such as batteries. Performing a professional regeneration of the battery consists in replacing its cells and inspecting the electronic components.

How is the battery regenerating?

Battery regeneration is carried out in stages. The first step is to open the battery. Then the used cells should be disassembled and inspected. As part of the regeneration, the battery casing is also cleaned. This operation is necessary due to the fact that only the cells are replaced, while the housing remains unchanged. The purpose of regeneration is to bring the battery to a state that allows it to be reused.

After replacing the old cells, create a new package of cells to be installed. They must be welded so that they can be installed in a given type of battery. An important step in the regeneration process is checking the efficiency of the electronics, which is not replaced. After the inspection, the previously welded new cells are mounted in the housing. The housing is folded back. A battery prepared in this way is subjected to a test to assess its efficiency.

First of all, thanks to the regeneration of the battery, we can save a considerable amount of money that would have to be spent on the purchase of a new battery. During regeneration, we can keep the original housing and original electrical parts. In addition, regeneration is a process that also makes it possible to increase the power and capacity of the battery thanks to the use of new cells. It is possible to choose the target capacity of the battery after the regeneration process. You can also choose the manufacturer of the cells to be installed in the reconditioned battery. What is important, however, is that in some cases the size of the battery casing makes it impossible to increase its capacity. We guarantee that the regeneration of the battery performed by us will not leave any traces of this process on its casing.

Is there a warranty for the reconditioned battery?

Our customers receive a 6-24 month warranty, depending on the type of battery. It is a misconception that the regenerated battery will not be able to serve for a long time. Certainly, a lot depends on the frequency of its use and the method of storage. Nevertheless, our belief in the quality of our work is so strong that each of the remanufactured batteries is guaranteed.
